Family mediation to allow you to know your rights, ask questions, receive information and especially allow you to obtain an agreement togheter. If you want your agreement to have the force of law, you will have to obtain a judgment afterwards. Obtaining a judgment is not a service included with subsidized mediation.  You can look in the others tabs for information on obtaining a judgment.

For in-person family mediation,  you will need to book an appointment where both parties will have to attend a single meeting of one to two hours to help you find an amicable solution to your case.

For subsidized family mediation if you have no dependent children, the governement covers 3 heures only once in life et you must never have done subsidized mediation together. If you have at least one dependent child, the governement covers 5 hours the first time you contact the service and 2.5 hours every twelve months thereafter, as long as you have a dependent child.
